Lydia Porter is a multidisciplinary artist who explores themes of flora and fauna, mortality, and mythology. She is engaged in iconography and grounds herself in elements of realism. By working with meticulous detail, she creates evocative work that resonates with the observer.
She currently lives on the unceded territory of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations aka “Vancouver". In 2018, Lydia graduated with a diploma in graphic design from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design and will be continuing her studies at Emily Carr University in the fall.
